Meokoe's Story:
The soft-furred, blue-eyed beauty had a bit of a rough start to her life as well. When she was a kitten, my friend saw her hanging from the shirt pocket of a woman at a gas station. She was instantly struck by the bright blue eyes and knew that she wanted to try to give the little thing a better life. In the end, 'Meokoe' was traded to her new owner, my friend, for half a package of cigarettes. She spent many years in her new home with her adoptive brother Sam.
I adopted Meokoe from my friend. She was getting married but unfortunately, the love of her life was severely allergic to cats. Meokoe was already 12 years old and although she is a beautiful cat, my friend didn't think she would fare well at a shelter waiting to be adopted.
After a tearful farewell from her mommy, she came to live with me. I took her in and after a month of hiding and sneaking around at night... she finally started to warm to her new home. She is an incredibly loving cat and quite the little, well maybe more than a little, princess.
